After Thomas Partey suffered an injury that basically ended his season, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated the importance of the Ghanaian on his squad is “unquestionable.”
Since joining from Spanish heavyweights Atletico Madrid, Partey, 28, has been a key component in Arteta’s side.
Six of the eight matches Partey has played in since New Year’s Day have ended in Arsenal victories, indicating that he has had a significant impact on the club’s turnaround.
The value of the Ghanaian superstar has been emphasized by Gunner’s manager.
Arteta told the Daily Mail, “The stats are there and they are unquestionable.”
‘When Thomas is there, the win rate is higher. It’s not good for us since he hasn’t been as present as we would like in the last two seasons.’
‘With the quality and expertise that he provides, we need him to fulfill that position on his own.’ And the fact that he offers us unique items that we want.
‘Then we can accommodate players in other positions that are more important to them, and we can control games in the way that we can.’
‘Otherwise, we’ll have to think about and develop with the players we already have by utilising them in other ways, changing formations, and finding ways to compensate.’
