Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narhe reacts to missed chances in draw against Aduana Stars

In their 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum was left to rue his Asante Kotoko side’s failure to convert several golden opportunities.

Bright Adjei equalized for Aduana Stars in the dying embers of the game to give his side a merited draw at Baba Yara Stadium after Etouga Mbella gave the home side the lead but later missed two penalties.

With 56 points, Kotoko remains in the first place, nine points ahead of second-placed Bechem United, who were also held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions Hearts of Oak.

“We have to do our homework well, and make sure we play well, we need to convert the numerous chances we create, we have to keep our focus in front of goal,” coach Narteh said after the game.

“If you see the chances we missed today, it shows the game shouldn’t have ended 1-1, it should have ended in a cricket scoreline.”

Asante Kotoko will travel to Obuasi to face regional rivals Ashanti Gold SC in their next Premier League game.
